It's time to step up!

As the only childcare facility on Hilton Head Island that offers a sliding-fee scale structure, the work we do is critical to ensuring a bright future for the children in our community.  The Children's Center is providing a safe and educational environment for children to learn, as well as serving a nutritious breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack each day to feed their young bodies.

Sponsor one of the eleven classes at The Children’s Center to walk at Jarvis Creek Park. Proceeds will provide classroom materials to support early education at The Children’s Center. And the best part? Family and friends can get in on the action too! Our total financial goal is $16,500!

Parent Testimonial:

Brenda is the single mother of two young boys enrolled at The Children's Center. Her oldest son Julian just graduated from Pre-K this spring and was ready to enter kindergarten. Her younger son Joel is currently in our Pre-K 3 program. Brenda works for one of the security services on the island and makes $13.50/hr. Her weekly take home pay is approximately $500. Her monthly rent is $850, and her childcare tuition is $1,000 a month before any assistance. Brenda was looking forward to Julian starting Kindergarten and a reduction in her tuition payments, then Beaufort County Schools decided to begin the year virtually. How could she stay home from work and help him with his schoolwork? Brenda received over $260 a month in tuition assistance, had a place for Julian to go during the school day for virtual school and was able to continue to work. She says that because of The Children's Center, she sees her boys learning to be excellent students, she is proud of the work she does in our community and she is able to provide for her boys.
